You, of all people, should know that one should never leave your lid on the seat - all it takes is a split second for it to fall on the floor and you'll need to buy a new lid.
Seeing as mine cost nearly £400, there's no way I'd risk it!
I just KNEW that someone would comment on that. I've never dropped a helmet without my head in it yet (although I have had to make a couple of quick grabs). Think of it as a test of the reflexes or a desire to live dangerously.
