How would you like to be driven over by a motorcycle travelling at very high speed? You can imagine that this was the following guy's worst nightmare. "I know, I'll jink outside to avoid him". Doh!

Dear Gerty,
How are you doing today? I hope you are faring well.
Meanwhile i still want to know from you what is really going on and your status now in relationship with Oliver. I know this may not be the appropriate time to ask you about any thing but you please have to bear with me, considering the situation here with this account in question which i have applied to be paid to Oliver.
Possibly you are taking this for unreal and it makes you take it for granted but i know how i feel about it because i am deeply concerned about it.I know what it means and how it pains to see this amount being lost to the Bank.
On the other hand i know you are finding it so difficlt to believe me based on what Rumpoul told you about this but i want to assure you that what he said is strictly based on prejudice and more of fallacy.
I wrote you the other time but i have not heard anything from you.
Get back to me please.

Barrister Frank,
In the current circumstances, your email is callous and unthinking. Do you torture small animals as well?
Now that I have lost Oliver, I do not care about any amount of money. He was my world and now that he is gone, I'm not sure that I can go on.
Go and find someone else to give the money to.
Gerty.

My Dear Gerty,
Please you should understand the reason why i am stressing on this issue and i do certainly know how you feel presently.
How ever, i do not mean it to be a turture to you as you have tagged it but it is just that i do not know how to go about this and i seem to be helpless in the situation.
I know how you feel but what i am trying to let you understand is what you have failed to put into consideration.
It is quite agreed that Oliver is dead now and there is nothing we can do to resurrect him unless the one promised by Christ at the end of this life. So we have to cheer our selves up and proceed with our own lives and businesses in order to make our own life bearable.
What i am trying to assert in esence is for you to help me out in this circumstance right now as i have already made this application to the Bank on behalf of Olivber for the rtelaese of this fund to him as the bona fide beneficiary to it and hence the Bank has cooperated with that
and have initiated the procession of the claim in his name, all of a sudden he just died, the claim proccession must continue and so what we have to do is to prove to the Bank that clearly Oliver really died and somebody has to take up from him what ever thing he established.
and have initiated the procession of the claim in his name, all of a sudden he just died, the claim proccession must continue and so what we have to do is to prove to the Bank that clearly Oliver really died and somebody has to take up from him what ever thing he established.
Yes, i was at thew Bank to inform them about the situation and they were very sorry about that and so they approved that his closest relatives is still left with the opportunity of making the claim, hence the papers showing his death and covering the claim must be provided as they remains very pertinent to that.
Mean while, i do not have access to any other person closely related to Oliver Warren other than you and even if i have, there is no other way i can lay a trust on such a person in doing this course with him because hence you have known about it, you can better handly it with
utmost sincerity and see it as a priority.
utmost sincerity and see it as a priority.
Bear in mind that i have taken it upon myself to avail by myself all the neccessary legal papers that would lead to the eventful release of this fund to you in the staed of Oliver, and that everything would emerge under a legitimate background that would protect all persons from any breach of the law and ones personal rights.
What i would only need from you is your sincere cooperation and honesty in handling the coordination part from your end and finally handle the money with you when it is paid to you, pending my arrival for my own share of it.
I am so interested in this because i know it is more than what you think and i have already been out for it and so i would not want to chicken out in the claim just like that as the Bank would perceive me as a second class citizen and it would definitely affect my personality here.
So, if you could give me this assistance, please i would be more than grateful for you as i do not appreciate the fate of this account as it seems to me that i may lose it to the Bank of which i have promised myself that it must be retrieved from from their confiscating grip over it. Note that the account is existing at the mercy of an Injuction i managed to secure from the Court to deter the Bank from further confiscation actions until the authenticity of the claim is ascertained.
Having exhaustively put to your awareness a clear and coherent detail about this course, i would be anticipating your kid and positive response to this as i have placed my trust and hope on your kind cooperation.
Finally, please accept my heart felt sympathy as things would be okay and the death of Oliver would not be an end to your life but possibly a means to your life. It just just an experience and it is by experience, one learns a particular lesson so well. I would like you to have solace in God's word that "He knows the plans he have for you" Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope and bring you to an expected end"
Please cheer up.
Thanks and best regards.
Frank.

Speedy Yesteryear
Afriend of mine was speaking to his father-in-law about his old
motorcycles. Apparently he had an old 250 similar to this at some
point. The body was made from aluminium and it was pretty battered when
he got it. It was allged to be of East German or other soviet block
manufacture. One day it was left in a hedge. Sad.

Can you guess what it is yet
I always used to enjoy watching Rolf Harris produce his instant art. This doesn't quite have the tuneful humming or the speed though.
Cadwelll Twighlight Zone
What a strange couple of days.
I left work early in the afternoon to meet Nick at 3:30 at the Michael Wood services on the M5 for our IAM track day. Our plan was to pick up the A46 at Evesham and then make our way across country with a short stretch of M69/M1, before getting onto the A roads that would take us to our hotel at Alford. The first part of the journey went according to plan and we stopped at some services near Leicester - how do you write a spitting noise? (I'm a Bath Rugby fan) - for a coffee and fuel stop.
After a drink and a stretch, we prepared to saddle up for a short run round to the fuel pumps. As we were sorting out our luggage, a short, scottish lady with a well presented cleavage drifted over and started chatting to us about how wonderful bikes were. I say chatting, it was more a stream of conciousness and felt a little like being machine-gunned with words. Gillian's boyfriend is a corporal in the army and she is training to be a lawyer. If we start our engines, she'll probably cum.
I had a loosely planned route across to the hotel, but Gillian pulled out a map and in her best "you don't want to be doing that" manner, suggested that we might want to travel via Boston, where she lives and she could follow us in her car (although she had suggested that she'd be travelling over a ton, so she'd leave us on that basis). O=K... I think we both agreed on the basis that at the first sign of traffic, we'd be off and gone, but it was not to be. An ominous sign of trouble appeared when Nick tried to start his bike - nothing, nada. Luckily, a 400 is not too difficult to bump start, so with it buzzing again, we made our way round to the pumps. Filled and ready, we set off again. Nick bounced the 400 into life and we set off down the slip road, with Gillian following in our wake. As I entered the flow of traffic, I noticed in my mirror that Nick was slowing to a stop on the slip. Bugger. I pulled off the motorway at our planned junction (luckily very close) and pulled into a layby. A quick phone call later established that a fuse had blown and Nick was going to replace it and try and get running. I'd wait at the layby for now.
Another phone call and it seemed likely that it was the rectifier - a common fault on these little Hondas apparently. Nick's bike would be recovered to a specialist 20 miles north of Cadwell and he'd stay with Gillian(!) I thought I'd better give the hotel a ring - booking, what booking? Fortunately, they have a room, hoorah! I chose for my original route for the ride across; lovely sweeping bends punctuated by small market towns and 30 limits. Just after nine I rolled into Alford and parked next to three other bikes in the hotel car park. After a Guiness and a packet of crisps, I was settled down to the dulcet tones of the local youf in the market square.
Woken by the people putting up the market stalls at 5AM (what the fuck? No stall holders showed up for hours), I paid for the room, chatted briefly to my fellow bikers and sat down to a full English. We set off together for the track and made our way through the lanes to emerge near the track entrance. We rolled down to the pits (the A group go out first) and we'd all planned to get at the back of the advanced group in one of the left-most of five lines of six bikes. Everybody else had the same idea, so we wound up in group 2. Hey ho. For those of you who've done days like this, it's a fairly standard format, register, pay for photographer (not great) and wander down to the briefing. This was a training day rather than a track day as such, so the only thing I had to tape up was the SV's headlight (I can't turn it off).
The morning consisted of fixed sessions with no overtaking learning the lines and checking a few techniques. It was a nice way to ease up the pace. I did get told off for being a bit too "Whitham or Walker-esque", throwing the bikes sharply into the corners with a late turn in. I was turning in after virtually every cone that they'd put out to illustrate the correct (in most cases) place to drop the bike into the corner. To be honest, that's what I love to do on track but it does look a bit wild and is not very IAM. I did smooth it out for the afternoon session and still managed to have fun whilst passing some faster, better equipped bikes.
Later in the morning session, Nick turned up with Gillian. He'd slept on her couch (I believe him) and she'd provided his lift to the track. Nick's bike needed about £300 worth of work (£50 for three hours labour is brill) and would be ready in the afternoon. The next time I saw Nick, I was sipping a Dr.Pepper (what's the worst that can happen) whilst watching group B go out. There on track was Nick on his little yellow flyer, buzzing past. I felt a presence on my shoulder and looked down to see Gillian next to me. She proceeded to tell me what a bastard Nick was. He hadn't offered her any petrol money and had issued directives to her to drive him everywhere. Not only that, his sister-in-law was living with a drug dealer who said that he had killed someone and Nick hadn't reported it. Wha? I did encourage Nick to give the nice lady some petrol money just in case.
I decided to leave at four PM rather than go out for the last session. It's a four and a half hour ride home and it had been a long day. I'd had lots of fun and was impressed by the guy on an RS100 as well as the ex-chairman on an R1200RT who used up one of his hero blobs keeping up with me. I made sure that I rode well within my own limits, so I've only got a little flat spot on a toe-slider to show for it. I'd highly recommend Hopp Rider Training. It was a well organised day that everyone got something from and we only had two minor incidents during the whole day.

Frank-en Sense
Dear,
I am so glad that he has started recovering from the trauma.
Meanwhile, i would like to know how possible it would be should i call to speak with you and him at the same time. Although i understand his condition right now.
More over, how long do you think it would take him to recover in order to take up with this transaction because i went to the Bank today and i understand that they are not being happy with us in making this claim over my late client's account.
To them it seems more of peurile thing and they have given a mandate for us to come up with the claim, by establishing facts legitimatizing the claim.
One more emphasis is that i have already used hois name altin making the application before the Bank but i do not know how possible it would be trying to make an alternative for him, even if you were his wife and possibly should bear the same name as "Warren".
This in the sence that you can be able to proceed from where he stopped and hence we can back it up
with facts.
Please get back to me soon and do take a good care of your husband.
Thanks so far.
Frank West.
Dear Barrister Frank,
We have been considering marriage recently, well actually a civil partmership. As I have had gender reallocation, it is not legal for us to be married in the traditional sense, however, we now have the option of a 'civil partnership' available to us, which gives us very similar rights to a married couple. I'm sure as a legal beagle, you're aware of that. Hopefully, when Oliver recovers, he will do me that honor.
I have passed details of this transaction across to Oliver's cousin, Rumpole, who is a barrister in
London. He has power of attorney and will be able to act in this matter on Oliver's behalf.
Regards,
Gerty.
Hello Gerty,
Good day once again.
I must tell you that i am quite relatively unconfortable about this development in this claim.
Infact you ought not expose this deal considering the nature of it's confidentiality.
I know what i am saying and that was why i was wondering about your incursion in this claim. Really it is not supposed to be so but i have considered your relationship with Oliver and how transparent/honest you have been in updating me about your personality.
You said something about possibly when he regains consciousness, he would grant you that favour. I do not understand what you mean by that. Is it that his brother would follow it up for him or that he would help you in the follow up... Clarify.
Moreover, this claim does not call for a "groupthink" deal because that could possibly undermine it's success. Again,, you ought to understand that his brother's power of attorney is limited as he has no jurisdiction here. Besides, i have already used Oliver's name for the Claim application before the Bank and they (bank) are in expectance of our follow up. Never the less, considering his condition right now i suppose what we need to do is to see if it would be granted by the Bank for somebody else to act on his proxy and i suppose the Bank would require a fact or document in the form of doctor's report in order to back the claim up.
I called your line but you were not around so i had to drop a meassage informing you that i called, so you can possibly call me at your convenience.
Finally, what was his response when you told him about this?
I must advise you to keep this deal as confidential as possible and remain as honest with it as you have come accross it.
Thanks for now and i am hoping to hear from you soon.
Best regards.
Frank.
Barrister Frank (if that is your name),
I have been informed by Rumpole that this is probably a scam. He tells me that it sounds remarkably like a '419' con, which apparently is very common in Nigeria.
He has suggested that I should forward all communication to the police and have nothing further
to do with you.
I would be grateful if you did not contact me again.
Gerty.
Hello,
I hope your Sunday was quite okay.
First all I must draw your attention that I have not taken it light over your incursion into this claim and your latest blow done in respect to this claim. First all you came in as an imposter by disguising your identity, framing some illogical statements and the total misrepresentation of facts/reality in regards to the person “Oliver”, I, the Bank and my country. Yes, you have a calculated efforts strategized to outsmart and possible ruin the success of this claim and the subsequent release of the fund by the Bank.
As a matter of fact I was not happy to read through your email regarding the perceptions of you, and your “wonderful counselor” about me in particular and over this issue at stake. I must tell you that I am definitely not comfortable with the pessimistic feelings in general.
That as a matter of fact, is so derogatory to my personality, my profession and my country in general.
Come to think of it, where are you and your Rumpul directing your doubts to? Is it about me, the account or the Bank? Which of the parties involved is he/you being skeptic about?
Who and which country do you say are “419”ers”? You said that it is too common in my country.
Ok, I am not aware of that because I am not a party to it and I must assert that they must also be in your country, hence, they are in almost every part of the world.
So, I wish to clarify that even if they are in my country, they are as well right there where you are, but you only need to be careful while dealing with people, even those you may be seeing as saints.
Frankly, I must tell you that it upsets me the more considering all my stakes, efforts and expenses in furtherance and actualization of this claim and of which has come and gone along way to getting to the realization of it.
On the other hand, I have restrained myself from over re-acting to this by reasoning with him/you by restricting one self to being so careful with dealings with people, although, pertaining to this, your perceptions I suppose are really built on prejudice and unfound premise.
I want to advise you if you nsolely wish to cooperate with him by forwarding my informations to the security agents as i have nothing hidden under my cupboard, i am only making an appeal that Oliver should cooperate with me in making a this a success and that we should share in the mutual interest.
In fact I do not know how possible that should be even if the Bank or I are fraudsters as he/you supposed.
Factually, I am a Lawyer and only remain a just one who is only bent on the rec overy of my late client’s estate which is subject to confiscation by the Bank. Should there not be some one to lay hold on that and in that case I have contacted you (Oliver) and has made the application of claim with his name and proceeded for an Injuction against the moves by the Bank and they have activated by getting to you/Oliver twice for him/you to comply with them, and so I think I have been abused by you and your counselor by taking me for such undignified person, even at this stage of the claim.
In furtherance, how possible do you think it should be for a well known Bank like the Finance bank be involved in a scam deal. What would it benefit them? How much have you spent ever since the commencement of this claim and have I demanded from you to offer any payment in regards to the actualization of this claim? I am a person that keeps his promises and that was the core reason I am biting tooth and nail to actualize my late client's wish and as I promised my self and my promises I have always tried to live up to, up to this stage. I promised Oliver earlier on that I would not allow you any financial assistance in the procession of this claim and that I have often maintain even at this moment, even though he has not been punctual with the follow-ups..
If not that I have gone along way and have reached thus far in this claim with Oliver, honestly speaking, I would have resorted to doing otherwise if it could be possible.
In the factual sense of it, I should be the one to be doubtful and feel pessimistic about the fate of this money, as I do not truly know what would become of this money when it gets to Oliver, hence I may not be there by the time it shall be paid to him owing to the circumstances surrounding this account now and how you emerged into this affair, claiming to be an insider with your attorney.
I am only praying that you people would be honest enough with me and that all my labor, efforts and everything I have staked in this claim may not be in vain. I am not saying that I do not trust you but I am also trying to be realistic as well, just like you. We should be accountability partners who are supposed to share a mutual benefit of this venture upon its realization.
I have promised that I shall take it upon my self to see to the successful emergence of this transaction under a legitimate background that would protect each one of us from any breach of the law, hence I have with me and shall still avail all necessary legal documents that would relate to the legitimate claim/hold over this account which would necessitate its release of the fund to you by the Bank instead of confiscating the account.
You said I should not write you again but I am begging you to write the Bank and plead with them so they can have a heart to listen when I tell them about the situation now and you must present a report from the hospital proofing that Oliver is really bed ridden for now and thence, I shall decipher on what next to do with this, hence you are not being real.
Please do this as soon as possible.
Thanks for you understanding.
Barr. Frank West.
Dear Oliver,
good day and how are you doing now?
I hope you are getting better from what happened to you as i was made to know.
Please take care and God help you.
Thanks.
Frank West.
Hello,
This is an automated response, please do not reply.
I'm sad to say that Oliver died from injuries that he
received in a freak accident at the circus. If your
enquiry relates to unpaid accounts or a similar issue,
please send details to Oliver's usual postal address,
and his estate will deal with those matters.
Any friends who wish to pay their respects should
contact me via my usual email address.
Gerty.
Dear Gerty,
Frankly i am sending along with this my hearthy condolence over the death of my friend Oliver which i was informed through the automated response by you.
Infact i have been so much perplexed over the news.
Meanwhile, i am just trying to sympathize with you at this moment and pray for God's guideance over you.
More over, it would interest me if you could let me know when he would be buried (if not yet).
I am looking ahead to hearing friom you.
Thanks and take care of yourself.

Gerty.
Dear Gerty,

Infact i have been so much perplexed over the news.
Meanwhile, i am just trying to sympathize with you at this moment and pray for God's guideance over you.
More over, it would interest me if you could let me know when he would be buried (if not yet).
I am looking ahead to hearing friom you.
Thanks and take care of yourself.

Wet and Messy
Due to the early success of Bath Spa, the operators have decided to expand the range of services available. This is apparently due to a massive demand for 'water sports'.Spokesperson for the operators, Ethel Spunkmeyer, said "This is a fantastic opportunity to give tourists the same treatment that they get at home. We feel we'll be able to cater especially well for our American visitors and we'll be providing additional jobs for any local people who are pox free and attractive."

Cadwell Trackday
On Monday afternoon, Nick and I will be taking a little jaunt up to Cadwell Park for our trackday on Tuesday. It's an IAM only affair, so I would imagine that there'll be lots of BMWs and Pans to chase round the track. I'm looking forward to seeing sparks flying from the tops of a few boxer cylinder heads.
We've both been put in the fastest group (the buggers), but we've both going to take our places at the back of that group and gradually feel our way to see how the pace develops. Nick will be on his 400 and I'm going to be on the SV650, so we'll get burnt off down the straits by a few things, but it should be fun reeling them back in on the corners. That said, the last time I went to Cadwell there was some fertilised embryo riding round the outside of us 'grownups' on a 125.

Terrorist Sought
Here's a picture of me wearing Woof's beard and hair. Do you think I look like I'm about to blow something up?Do you spend a lot of time writing?
If you do, you need to go to Penis Land. This and other great URLs available from 'Top Ten Worst Comapy URLs'.
Some Sounds
Here are two things for you to listen to.
Barrister Frank - regular readers need no explanation.
A slight variation on a Bon Jovi theme. In fact, this could well become my theme tune on the rapidly approaching Talk Like a Pirate Day (Sept 19th).

Japan
It's a shadow of it's former self. Did you see the one with the two table tennis players? I think I posted here previously. Don't expect me to go digging through the archives, there's just too much rubbish in here for me to even attempt that.
Interesting musical idea
Now this has balls. By the way, I know that in some cases I'm pandering to the viral marketing campaigns of some large corporates here, but I'm OK with that. I hope you are too. After all, life's too short to be really anal about these things, eh?
PC vs Mac
Now far be it from me to intimate that Mac owners are elitist snobs who want to be seen as cool and trendy, but, well, um.
Some of my best friends own Macs. At least they WERE friends.
I'll just go back to my sad, grey box.

Star Trek vs Star Wars
Now here's one for you to argue about at the pub. Who would come off worst from this encounter? Personally, I think The Force wins it every time.

He now looks like this (probably). In fact I think this may be his best option from a range of possibilites.Hair today, still there tomorrow
Judging by some of the pictures of events that I've seen, I'm sure Womble can recommend some entrants for this wonderful site.
This one is just cruel.

Barrister Frank and the Rampaging Elephant
Dear Barrister Frank,
I am Oliver's partner. Unfortunately, he was amoung a group of people who were trampled by a runaway elephant at a recent trip to the circus and is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition. It made the front page of the Burton-on-Trent Advertiser, so you may have heard about the accident.
He has not been in a condition to make me aware of any outstanding business transactions, so perhaps you could explain to me what is required and I will see if I can obtain the necessary information from Oliver as he recovers.
Yours,
Gerty.
Good day my dear,
First all i wish to express my heart felt sympathy for the mishap on Oliver's side. Infact i am happy that you brought it to my awareness as i have been so much worried about hearing from him. I have been wondering what could be his problem as i have not been able to hear from him for a long time now.
Meanwhile, i want to beseech you to convey my warmest greetings to him and how i have felt for him in this time.
However, i suppose i should not tell you about this but hence it would still serve as a means to accelerate what we have already started, it means Oliver should grant you the permit to help proceed this on his behalf and it is pertinent he inform you about the essence and concept of the deal.
In order to proceed therefore, a formal introduction and concept clarifications has to be established prior to the deal either from Oliver or me to you.
Consequent upon this, i would like you to see if it would be possible for Oliver to detail and explain to you (If he should be in the right mood) or if not possible, you could contact me for the clarifications and the ways forward.
Finally, i would like you to call me on my phone + 234 806 372 3908; alternatively, you can get me yours so i can contact you as soon as possible to accelerate what we have already started, as there is no time left on our side to actualize this except for a hasty communicaton and cooperation.
Thanks Gertrde once again for everything.
My regards to Oliver.
Barr. Frank West.
[A response later]
Dear,
Thanks for your prompt response and your phone number therewith given.
Please allow me to express what has been bothering my mind upon the reception and acknowledgement of your email.
You said you were Oliver's partner. Right. Please could you elaborate on what you mean by "partner".
Moreover, i have expressed doubts on how you got to know about this transaction.
Does it mean that Oliver informed you about it or did you hijack his password? Please clarify on these issues as this transaction is intended to be confidential and strictyly for the individual addressed to it.
I am leaving for a Court cas right now and do hope to hear from you soon.
I shall call you when i am through with my routine.
Thanks alot.
Frank West.
Dear Barrister Frank,
We are partners in the sense of being man and wife and enjoying consensual fraternisation.
We have no secrets from each other and so I have access to Oliver's email accounts. The fact that he did not tell me about this transaction was probably due to him wanting to surprise me rather than any plans to take the money and run off with Doris (Doris is his personal assistant and although they have been very friendly, they'll never have the kind of Jam and Scones relationship that he and I have).
I'm sure that when Oliver regains consciousness, he'd wish me to deal with this matter on his behalf.
Regards,
Gerty.
[The fifth chasing email:]
Dearest,
I still await your response as this matter requires an urgent attention that would help accelerate the the procesion of this claim.
There has been a superflous waste of time and energy in the course of this and yet nothing seems to have been done.
I suppose the BANK have every right now to feel contemptious about this claim.
Meanwhile i tried to contact you through the telecom but your line was not available for me may be because of internet problems.
Let me hear from you soon.
Frank.
Dear Barrister Frank,
I have been at Oliver's side waiting for him to regain consciousness. You'll be glad to hear that he started to come round today, but unfortunately started screaming "no, not the trunk", so the doctors had to sedate him again.
I'm sure that you can understand that some things are more important than money, so I don't really care what the bank thinks. For me, it is most important that I am at Oliver's side to help him through this difficult time.
Regards,
Gerty.
Dear [Have you noticed he can't be bothered with a name now],
I am so glad that he has started recovering from the trauma.
This in the sence that you can be able to proceed from where he stopped and hence we can back it up with facts.
Please get back to me soon and do take a good care of your husband.
Thanks so far.
Frank West.

Dear Barrister Frank,
I've not heard anything from the BANK as yet and I'm beginning to worry.
Should I be chasing them in a Benny Hill closing credits manner to speed things up?
Kind regards,
